Rhys Widdis grew up in sunny, beach town of Grand Bend, Ontario. His dance career started at the age of eight, and by twelve he was a well-seasoned competitive dancer and actor at the local Huron Country Playhouse. After completing his B.A.T.D associates in acrobatic dance Rhys taught and judged at various studios. Rhys briefly moved to Kelowna where he taught Acro at Robb Card Dance and then returned to Toronto where he completed a Commercial Dance Studies program at George Brown College, where he studied Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Acting. Following his new love for the city Rhys performed for the Toronto Dance Company and “Something Real”, a Montreal cirque show directed by Cirque Du Soleil veteran Meaghan Wegg. Rhys is thrilled to be back in the Okanagan and sharing his passion for Acro with the dancers at Robb Card Dance.
